El Riu Baker és el riu més cabalós de Xile, i sens dubte un dels més grans, també. Situat al sud de la Patagònia caiaquistes van conduir durant dos dies en pistes de terra a través de boscos, llacs, glaceres i sorprenents ports de muntanya. El color blau turquesa de l'aigua i la bellesa de la vall que captiva i et fa enamorar d'aquest  lloc. El poder de l'aigua i el desert al voltant et fan sentir tan petit i tan relacionat amb el medi ambient ... que és un lloc màgic. Hi ha dues preses proposades i aprovades al riu  Baker i tres més a la Pasqua. Moltes persones estan lluitant contra aquest mega projecte que no només inundarà tota la vall, sinó destruirà la vida silvestre i alguns dels millors llocs per practicar caiac d'aigües braves a la Terra.

 The Baker River is the largest river in Chile, and certainly one of the greatest, too. Located in southern Patagonia kayakers led for two days at dirt tracks through forests, lakes, glaciers and stunning mountain passes. The turquoise water and the beauty of the valley that captivates and makes you fall in love with this place. The power of water and the desert around make you feel so small and so related to the environment ... it is a magical place. There are two dams proposed and approved in the Baker River and three on Easter. Many people are struggling with this mega project that not only flood the valley, but destroy wildlife and some of the best places to kayak whitewater on Earth.
