Quebec es situa a l'est de la província de Ontario i de la badia de Hudson , al sud del Nunavut i del estret de Davis , a l'oest de les Províncies Marítimes i de Labrador i al nord de diversos estats d'EE. UU. ( Nova York , Vermont , Nou Hampshire i Maine ). Més del 90% de la superfície del Quebec forma part de l'anomenat Escut Canadenc .
